AHA AGM and BBQ
On June 23, 2012, your hard working executive will be meeting to work on the plans for the 2012/2013 year and attempting, as always, to get handball back to the glory years - with hundreds of players, plentiful courts, free beer for all etc.
At 3 pm on that day, we will be holding our Annual General Meeting. This is a legal compliance issue for our Society. However at that meeting, there will be reports from the AHA, and the Clubs, and a full opportunity for all members of the AHA to come, ask questions, throw fruit (outside for that please), and get your voice heard. Those who speak a lot will undoubtedly want to join the group, and take an active role in the future of the game, and the work that we are undertaking.
After the AGM, which we would expect to take no more than 1 hour(drinks will be served during the AGM), we will fully open the bar, and provide a complimentary BBQ for all. Hopefully the weather is good, and we can be outside, enjoying the weather, and for those with abilities, we will play Petaca (a Brazilian game which can be described as badminton with just your hands - both of them). It would be great to get a whole group out from all three Clubs.
If you need a room to stay over, you can let me know, We have several beds, and I am sure we can find a billet for everyone who needs one.
We need you to RSVP if you are coming so that my wife Launie can make sure that we have enough groceries to feed the masses. If you are coming, please send an email note to robbear@shaw.ca and let me know how many are coming. Spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends, partners, and pets are all welcome.
